Available in black PVD titanium, titanium and gold, the new Hublot MP-06 Senna Act IV – this is the fourth watch dedicated by Hublot to Ayrton Senna – will be produced in limited series of 41 pieces for each type to celebrate the 41 victories of the iconic brazilian driver in the F1 championships.
Hublot teams with Brazilian racer Bruno Senna, nephew of the late racing legend Ayrton Senna, to produce a special model for the Swiss watchmaker’s “Masterpiece” collection. The MP-06 Senna is the fourth such collaboration between Hublot and the Senna family, and features a tonneau case with a see-through dial that shows the hand-wound tourbillon caliber, which includes a five-day power reserve. A nod to the racing inspirations of the collaboration, the watchband is made of perforated Schedoni leather reminiscent of Ferrari and comes backed with green, red, or yellow (seen here) to match the hands and dial depending on the version selected. A release rich in symbolism, the special edition MP-06 Senna commemorates Ayrton’s 41 victories and three championship titles, and is available in King Gold, titanium and black PVD titanium case options. Each model will be limited to only 41 units per case and will comes in a special Hublot presentation case accompanied by a miniature reproduction of Ayrton Senna’s helmet.
The Art of Fusion is expressed right through to the heart of the movement. Simple watches with innovative watchmaking concepts, Hublot has created a range of unique “in-house” movements. A unique design of the Unico automatic chronograph. An unparalleled power reserve of Meca-10, Tourbillon and MP-11 calibers. A revolutionary motor approach with 11 MP-05 barrels and 50-day power reserve. In its “Art of Fusion,” Hublot carries out a perfect symbiosis between functionality, architecture and design.
For Hublot, materials are an integral part of their watches’ design. They must complement their design, while protecting their mechanism and withstand the test of time. As such, the Manufacture has chosen to use high-tech ceramic for certain bezels and cases; it is an ultra-tough and almost entirely scratch-proof material (apart from the diamond) with a base of zirconium sintered at very high temperatures.
